PRESSING ON

“Forget the former things;

Do not dwell on the past.

See, I am doing a new thing!â€

(Isaiah 43:18)

God never wants his children to forget what he has done for them in the past. The way he has been our savior and Lord. The way he has been our refuge and indeed our ‘Ebenezer’.

The Lord therefore desires that we look forward in faith to witness the spectacular things that He is about to do, rather than dwelling on the past and the painful experiences that we have gone through.

At this time I believe that the Lord is calling us to “press on towards the goal of our hope in Christ Jesus. This is a call to pursue our destiny and that of our families and children. There is a good future for us. Let us stand on the promises of the Gospel, because the Lord is doing a new thing. He is reviving us afresh and the Holy Spirit is anointing us with the holy oil of God’s grace so that we can continue to receive the blessings of the Lord.

Listen to these words of comfort and assurance from the Lord;

“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.

 I have called you by name; you are mine.

When you go through rivers of difficulty,

You will not drown.

When you walk through the fire of oppression

You will not be burned up;

The flames will not consume you.

For I am the Lord, your God,

The Holy one of Israel, your savior

Yes, I am the Lord

And there is no other Savior.â€

(Isaiah 43:1-3)

One of God’s purposes is to restore his people so that they can display his glory. We have been called to be star witnesses of the goodness and mercy of the Lord. We are God’s children called to be witness of his wonderful salvation through Jesus Christ.

Brothers and sisters let us all press on with the Gospel Ministry. Let us make Trinity a place where people come to know and connect with Jesus and with one another.

May The Good Lord bless you even more abundantly!

Pastor and brother in Christ,

Rev. Ngobia Jacob Muiruri
